The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at BUET successfully hosted a pivotal event titled "Industry Experience in EEE Program: Challenges, Opportunities, and Solutions" on June 12, 2024. The event brought together esteemed academics, industry leaders, and students to foster a collaborative dialogue on bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices.

Event Highlights:

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Dr. ABM Harun Ur Rashid, Head of the EEE Department. Dr. Maruf Ahmed followed with an insightful overview of the department. Prof. Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah delivered a keynote on "Industry Engagement for Outcome-Based Education," highlighting the importance of industry collaboration in shaping the future of EEE education. A significant part of the event was the sharing of student experiences on industrial attachment in 2023, providing real-world insights and inspiring future collaborations.

This was followed by an engaging open panel discussion, moderated by Prof. Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Dean of EEE, where attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the experts.

Special guest Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUET, and chief guest Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice Chancellor of BUET, delivered inspiring remarks, underscoring the significance of industry-academia collaboration.

Tokens of appreciation were presented to the panel speakers and industrial representatives, followed by a photo session. The event concluded with a networking lunch, allowing for further discussions and connections among participants.
